Coke—keeping things dry
Since moisture reduces coke’s calorific value, maintaining a dry environment is a must for its storage. Choose a dome for its waterproof quality and ability to store whatever tonnage you require.
Superior moisture protection: The custom PVC airform covering the dome prevents exposure to moisture. The dome’s insulated nature also prevents heating and cooling of the walls and air inside, thus preventing condensation on the walls and protecting the integrity of the product.
More storage, smaller footprint: With domes, customers can store more product in a smaller footprint, stacking it deeper and taking up less valuable property at the site than compared to a flat storage. And compared to a concrete silo, the dome allows you to store more coke in the same footprint and height due to the fact that product can be stored inside the entire dome structure.
For companies eager to work hand-in-hand with a partner who knows the industry, knows the vendors, and knows a good price, look no further than Dome Technology.
Dome Technology completed a massive installation and commissioning project for a Washington woodyard, allowing the customer to upgrade its current abilities and enjoy another generation of customized stacking. The Packaging Corporation of America woodyard, located in Wallula, Washington, was an existing site, but the previous equipment had aged out, and PCA needed to bulk up […]
Dome Technology’s scope of expertise goes well beyond the dome. Our team provides turnkey storage solutions, which means engineering, fabrication, conveyance installation, foundation solutions, and more. Overseeing an entire project means our fingerprints can be found in every part of every project, including tunnels like this housing an aeration system for an FLS Ful-Floor.
The Dome Technology team was pleased to be part of the Buck Van Huss gymnasium rehabilitation in Kingsport, Tennessee, and to add many, many decades of life to the existing dome with its iconic star motif. Watch a video of the ribbon cutting here. The project wrapped up two months before deadline, and it’s a […]
