A new video documenting Dome Technology’s project for concrete producer Ozinga is available now.
Ozinga contracted with Dome Technology to build a DomeSilo™ in Chicago, Illinois, that is 125 feet in diameter and 138 feet tall and will store 50,000 metric tons of cement. Product is loaded into the storage pneumatically via a barge unloader, and dual Fuller-Kinyon pumps convey product from the dome to two day bins. Dust-collection systems were installed, and level monitoring allows site managers to keep constant tabs on the amount of stored product. The project wrapped up in August 2017, and the dome is already half full of product.
